Program Stucture

In response to COVID 19, the 2020 session will be completely online. We have received special dispensation from Yoga Alliance to hold the training online, which will be a combination of live sessions on Zoom, as well as pre-recorded online practices and tutorials.

September 26th-27th, 10am-4pm
October 10th-11th, 10am-4pm
October 24th-25th, 10am-4pm
November 7th-8th, 10am-4pm
November 21st-22nd, 10am-4pm
December 5th-6th, 10am-4pm
December 12th-13th, 10am-4pm

Live Weekday Dates & Times

Monday (six total), from October 26th-November 30th, 5:30-8:30pm
Wednesday (six total), from September 30th-November 1st, 5:30-8:30pm

In addition to the above in-person sessions, you will be required to complete 25 asana classes with lead trainer Dannette Mason before the completion of the program. These hours will be a combination of online practice and observation.

Remaining hours include online and self-paced studies.

200 Hour Registered Yoga School - School of Gentle Yoga

200 Hour Gentle Yoga Teacher Training Course Pre-requisites

· Love of yoga
· A minimum of one year experience in yoga and basic understanding of essential asanas.
· Student interview: to be held after the application has been received

Course Recommendations and Requirements

· Daily practice 5-7 days a week recommended
· Homework: reading and written – more details in Training Manual.
· Attendance is mandatory: missed classes must be made up by private tutoring at a rate of $50 per hour or through online training.
· All financial requirements must be fulfilled.
· Teach a final presentation. More details in Training Manual.

Registration and Financial Services


1. Complete and submit application
2. Schedule an interview with Program Director, Dannette Mason: dannette@schoolofgentleyoga.com
3. Submit 25% non-refundable deposit in order to guarantee your space in the School of Gentle Yoga Teacher Training.
4. Prior to the start of the program you will receive a welcome email and essential program details.


For the 2020 online training only, tuition is being reduced to $1900 ($1000 off) for the first “Beta” group to experience the School of Gentle Yoga training online. There will be no further discounts offered on the program. Our program will not be offered at this low rate again.

School of Gentle Yoga Financial Policies

For those students who are unable to pay in full prior to the start of the training, SGY offers Payment Plans. To reserve a spot in any given training, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance, plus an 8% Administration Service Fee to cover administration costs, will then be place on student’s account with a payment due the fifteenth of each month. 200 Hour training payment plans not to exceed four months.

Tuition must be paid in full prior to student receiving certification.
